Open, Preview and Save Emails as PDF
This free tool opens .eml emails in any modern browser and turns them into a
PDF. It works with emails saved from Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Windows
Mail and Gmail. Every email is read on your device and is never uploaded.
How to Convert EML to PDF
- Drop or select one or more
.emlfiles. The emails appear in a preview. - With several emails, choose the order: oldest first, newest first, or your own order using the arrows.
- Choose the paper size (A4 or Letter), orientation and margins, and whether to include the email header.
- Select Save as PDF, then choose Save as PDF as the destination in your browser's print dialog.
Combine Many Emails Into One PDF
Select up to 300 emails at once. They are merged into a single PDF, each starting on a new page with its own header showing the sender, recipients, date and attachments. This is useful for keeping a record of a conversation, sharing an email thread, or preparing emails as exhibits. Add Bates numbers to the finished PDF if you need them.
What the PDF Includes
| Part of the email | In the PDF |
|---|---|
| Subject, from, to, cc and date | Yes, in a header above each email |
| Formatting, links and tables | Yes |
| Inline images | Yes |
| Images loaded from the internet | Only if you select Load remote images |
| Attachments | Listed in the header, and downloadable as a ZIP |
Private Browser-Based Conversion
Emails often hold personal, legal or business information. This converter reads them locally, so nothing is sent to a server. Scripts in the email are removed, and images from the internet stay blocked unless you allow them, so the sender can't tell that you opened the email.
Limitations
A PDF is a static copy, so attachments are not embedded inside it. Download them separately with the attachments button. Each email can be up to 100MB. Very large batches need more browser memory; if the image PDF fails, use Save as PDF, which handles long documents better.
